After witnessing many families being unable to find suitable grave marker to express their grief, James realized the life stories behind each one. In 1906 He was determined to establish a brand dedicated to tombstone production, making each grave marker a unique annotation of the deceased's life.
In the early days of his entrepreneurship, chan James began his exploration in an old warehouse on the edge of the small town. He scoured everywhere for high-quality stones, ranging from cold and hard marble to granite with unique textures. Each kind of stone was regarded by him as a precious gift bestowed by nature.
He devoted himself to the study of headstone engraving techniques, from traditional relief techniques to the emerging laser engraving, striving to carve every detail to perfection.
Once, a gentleman who had lost his wife came to James, hoping to have a grave marker custom-made for his wife to show her love for painting. James spent several weeks consulting materials and conceiving designs. Eventually, inspired by one of his wife's paintings, he meticulously carved lifelike artistic patterns on the headstones for graves. When this tomb stone brimming with deep affection was completed, the gentleman's eyes welled up with tears.
